Sunday
Sunday was cool even though the world is still mourning the loss of MJ. Its so ironic because just last week my kids wanted to know about MJ, so we looked at all the old videos he and his brothers had out and appearances on t.v. My kids were really impressed and inspired. We studied how he was raised as one of Jehovah's witnesses and then later changed to the Muslim faith. I told my kids that the world can say what they want about him, he owed us nothing about his personal life, he was just an entertainer, a very good one!
Then my friend and I were chilling in the car one night at Perkins listening to MJ's greatest hits and how deep the words were. I recall specifically talking about you are not alone. R.Kelly wrote and produced that joint for MJ.(In fact Kelly sang it too and really put it down). Then boom out of nowhere, the man up and dies. I didn't see that coming.
I know he isn't the only person/celebrity 2 die recently but I think like world realizes that Wacko Jacko was more than that. He was a man who gave his life for entertaining the masses. He truly crossed color lines with his music. Special people come and go and some will be missed more than others.
Like I said what ever the man did wrong is between him and his God, but I got my Thriller album and others.... By the way BET did a wonderful job by making this about the man. I enjoyed the program. I hope it give people the closure the need...
