Just let your Yes mean Yes and your No mean NO!!!

I saw a man on the Today show complaining about how Coco Cola tried 2 play him. He opened a pop bottle that said he won $10,000!! Of course he was excited, but Coke wasn't having it. They said it was an error on their part because even though he was a winner, the contest wasn't suppose to start for another two weeks. So they told him they would give him $200 for his trouble instead of the 10K! Ummm I think not. The man did more than call Rafael Sanchez....he called the Today show and they put him on live. Needless to say, Coke called to make that situation right! They said they would give him the 10K and some extra items. At last all was happy again for everybody. I think Coke eventually did the correct thing by letting their yes mean yes. They a was pushing that reduced amount but they had to try. I consider that like giving a hungry whale a tic-tac and asking are you full now?

When I think about what some one's word means, I think of that as an extension of you. A verbal contract if you will. A friend use to tell me that her kids were expecting to get picked up by their father and would fall asleep in the living room with their coats on waiting on him. He gave his word --but obviously no one knew when he was speaking for the moment or really being sincere. I think the Coca Cola guy could handle being lied to better than a loved one can. Where is the love mannn?

Wardy point: Anybody has the right to change his/her mind on anything at anytime. No getting around that, but you can not get mad at someone for how they feel or react to your inconsistencies affect them. People are only works in progress! ((( Would you stay at a job that promised you $75K during the interview and then later changed to it to 21K when you started. Of course you would because you are so understanding--yeah right!)))
I am just a Ward who is letting his yes mean yes...

Just let your Yes mean Yes and your No mean No ----suckers.....

FYI - Coke offered $500 to this gentleman and is leaving it at that... he's still better off (financially) than he was before this whole mishap...

Coke revealed to News Channel 8 that there were a handful of others who got a wrong winning message because of the promotional test. The company said it is hard to control sweepstakes when soda arrives early on the shelf which is why the official contest start date is on the label.

I totally agree with the title of your latest blog... WE SHOULD ALL keep our word and vows and honor them in every way.

Sorry NCWIP2, but this story was on Today with Matt Lauer. Coke sent a rep with a big card board check for $10K. The man accepted and the other winners were honored as well. The blog was really about someone who is wishy-washy. The person has problem with lying and needed to get a head check. I know you understand......
