Scams

When you think about it, scams are everywhere. Most victims are willing participants and don't even realize it until its too late. I met a nice young man today who told me that he needed some money to help pay for family bills. This is nothing new, 4 many of us face all sorts of money issues from day to day,but this person found someone who said they would give him a loan if he paid a small processing fee. Sounded good at the time didn't it? Well, the small fee was a $1000 bucks that he and a friend split in hopes of getting a loan of $6000.
The money was sent western union to an untraceable account and the guy never heard from the loan contact again. This type of scam is profitable and common for crooks and unsuspecting trusting people trying to do better for themselves.
I felt bad for ol boy, but it was a lesson learned. Now he is in a deeper hole than before, but at least he still has a roof over his head.
I recall one time I lost a twenty and I still find myself looking through old clothing for that money.
The moral of this story is, everything that glitters- ain't always gold....

I am warD....
