I recently had two chances to have 2 great arguments. But being the calm person I try to be, I willingly passed. Let me share the situationz with you and U do the math on what you think. Situation #1). I was asked if I would cut my nephew's hair in the kitchen( I am a licensed barber by the way.) At first I said I would do it because I was distracted and just wanted to stay focused. However after a few moments I gave it thought and said I would rather not, besides I was tired. I mean, would I ask my physican to perform surgery on my toe in his car while we drive down the street----I think not!! So why should I not take my skilled profession any less serious? Anyway, I was given a lot of lipp because I said I would perform the delicate task and then flipped the script. Oh well, needless to say he didn't get his hair cut--by me!
Situation #2. The dreaded what are we gonna eat or do for dinner/lunch question has lead to many an arguments, I am sure! I know I can't be the only one- am I? Well you get where I am going with this. I just wish people who ask a question can sometimes bring an expected answer to the table to.
Now this is the lesson for me today, so read slowly from here on out. Anybody can get upset and retaliate when their feelings are bruised by others words. But two wrongs will not make you right, but it will get you even (lol). I, The Ward, went to the Bible for help and found the words written at James chapter 3 verse 13--and it says* Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show out of his fine conduct his works with a mildness that belongs to wisdom.
I can dig it because, stupid issues placed in my path is a chance for me to find strenths to use that I didn't know I was capable of using.
