What I wish my boi Marlo knew about his woman....

After shooting that round ball with Marlo we often end up at Apple bee's getting them half priced appetizers and strawberry lemonade! I guess after all that testosterone being in one place we have to unwind and talk about whats really on our minds. In this particular instance Marlo told me how he hates going home at night until his wife goes to sleep. He has circled the block so much that a cop stopped him and asked him what he was doing? He told the cop honestly and the cop said I understand, I do the same thing with my wife!

See Marlo's wife isn't really feeling him right about now and he can't figure out what he is doing wrong. I mean he says he works hard, faithful and gives her little gifts of love as often as he can think of what to do. He thinks she may have found a new love interest via the Internet? He could be right, but silly men, we always thinks its another guy-lol!
This is what I wish Marlo knew about his woman....When Marlo responds to his woman in a way that acknowledges and prioritizes her rights, wishes and needs, she will feel respected. When Marlo's behavior takes into consideration her thoughts & feelings, she is sure to feel respected. Concrete and physical expressions of respect like flowers and remembering special dates are essential to fulfill his woman's need for love. When she feels respect it is much easier 4 her 2 give Marlo the appreciation that he deserves.

When Ms. Marlo acknowledges having received personal benefit and value from Marlo's actions, Marlo will feel appreciated. See appreciation is a natural reaction to being supported. When Marlo is appreciated he will know his effort is not wasted and is thus encouraging him to give more. When Marlo is appreciated he automatically is motivated to respect his woman all the more. He won't have to ride around the block wasting gas, he will be rushing home.

But then again this is what I wish I could say. Men don't tell other men what to do unless asked and even then we gotta be careful, because it would become like a cat with milk! Hey I am like Lebron James: I am just one brotha, I need help my dang self. Here's to you Marlo. By the way, I heard gas is cheap over on 38th and Germanchurch....lol...
