Well I survived another 4th of July non celebration! However, I did stay with some of my relatives for the holiday and boy was it an eye opener for me. Have you ever stayed with someone else who ideal of clean did not exactly mirror yours? I won't get to deep because I don't want to start a family feud over this blog. I will say this, I enjoy a long hot shower anytime, but when you look in the tub and see black gunky stuff and hair every where- well lets just say "my perception is my reality".
I had to keep telling my self that everybody does not clean house like I do. Not that I am all that, but hey I don't mind an occasional visitor dropping by to see me. The kitchen had old food stuck on several plates just lying everywhere and crumbs on the floor. The bathroom toilets looked like a very clean nasty truck stop (2 put it nicely).
I was so turned off but I did not want my disdain for the lack of cleanliness to show on my face, so I spent quite a bit of time out on the town, I did not realize that ants are so fascinating. I watched some for 3 hours to avoid going back to that house. This is what I found out. I do not believe these folks are in denial, they are just comfortable living in their skin. If they like it 4 them, then I love it 4 them. I have a new found appreciation for my home and car. I just feel more at peace in a clean environment. I understand when life keeps you busy, but please remember the 8 second rule.......
