Da MisEduKation of the Skool system.....a Ward perspective

I have been dealing with some form of instructing or educating youth for the past few years and one thing that I know for sure is that students learn best from educators who are passionate and care about their profession! With that being said please take a quick journey in my world about why I am stepping back from being an educator in the public school system in the future.
Many times students come home with what seems to be quite a bit of home work, and as a parent you may wonder how can one person have that much to do in a day? Sometimes, the students don't get around to learning- to many distractions and what not! Another sad fact is that most parents really don't get that involved in their children's school life until there is a problem at school. True-some parents didn't enjoy their school experience and dread going to check up on their kids progress because after `the teachers are suppose to educate the youth as a job right? Yes and No....When I am at these variety of school, I see the majority of students who follow directions and actually are ready to learn, but you always got them few demon seeds sprinkled in the classes to keep everybody off balance. In the Indianapolis Star Sunday, it was a great article about how this 5 year old kid comes to class and throws fits of range and even chairs! Ya see, in school we have no deterrent to curb these issues. I can't tell you how many times I have removed students from my class rooms only to have them return in less than 5 minutes with an office staff saying the trouble maker is sorry and ready to get on some "act right". Obviously, as u can you can guess, the kids return to what they do best....acting out.
I am sure its plenty of reasons why these young people have issues and I truly believe it starts at home. Consider that parents are younger now then when I was a youngster. Its not uncommon to see a grand mother at 32years old. They sometimes have attitudes and are not afraid to use them: especially when they are 100% sure that they child would not be a disruptive student. Can somebody please tell me why we out lawed paddling in class rooms?
In addition to the regular occurrence of students being rude, disrespectful and talking back- I find that those same ones are failing in school. If your kids grades are not looking good, then perhaps you might want 2 ask your self when was the last time you or your baby Daddy went to the school and surprised your kid, to be his or her deterrent, motivator and to show the teacher that you are a concerned parent. Do we need more black males in the schools? Well did we need a black man in the oval office???....enough said-lol!
So to the reason why I am stepping back. I decided that I am more useful as Counselor for the youth and those addicted to drugs. I enjoy helping and teaching others but the system I see on this level is BROKE.....I am sure all Bible readers know what really needs to be done, but in reality....most of the people are gonna keep on doing what they do best.....(u fill in the statement). Sometimes I feel sad when I see Teachers who are burnt out or just doing it for the money because the children are the future and if yall know what eye know.....then be afraid-VERY AFRAID
I am Ward......
