Business and the brotha man
Here is a little known widely held belief amongst the black community. Blacks have a tough decision when it comes to getting some home projects done, car repairs or shopping for a home. Do I go with the brotha man who looks like me and knows my struggles or do I go with the uther man who is gonna charge me more and make me wonder can I really trust this buster? Humm, decisions-decisions-decisions! What to do?
I have had two of my three homes remolded and have decided that I need to deal with that uther man from this point forward. Don't get me wrong, I am not that dude who thinks he is better than most black people, but I have learned that all things that glitters are not always platinum (you thought I was gonna say gold). One time, I had tried the brotha man and his crew and the crew actually got in a fight at my house over crack!!! I kicked all of them ninja's out my spot. Then there was the time I was house hunting and the the uther man kept tring to get my into homes in areas of town that I wasn't feeling. No matter how hard I tried he was adamant of what HE was feeling.Shoot one house had a freaking chalk outline on the floor!!!! I kicked him to the curb and got with Billy Bob and we found 7 good choices in 24 hours.....
Today my dilemma comes from getting my van repaired. I started out with the seals leaking oil and my regular mechanic was detained by the authorities so I went with a friends guy (brother) and he did the work, but immediately something else broke on the van. Humm what a coincidence. The hook up said he could fix that too. But it get worse, he said my transmission was gone and he could replace it. I reluctantly said o.k, but wait, he said it is the motor. Fast forward 2 months and he still is not done with my van. My point.....I don't even have to tell you all what I should and will do next time.
Now I am aware that these could very well be isolated incidents, but Dang it... I tired and I now know when I gotta pay a little more to get on with life. We ain't ready yet. Ya know it. Shoot even Jessie Jackson is hating of Barack, why should it be any different for your boy......
I Ward am......?
