O.k. I offically give up on customer service....
Today I felt lazy. I had quite a few things that I wanted to accomplish but allowed procrastination to get the best of me once again! For example, I wanted to get some new/used tires for my new project car which meant I had to hit all the ghetto spots to find what I needed at the price I was willing to pay. (Dang that kind of sounds like prostitute shopping-lol) My tire search sent me from the South side of Napp to the North side. After several failed attempts to get these tires I finally found a set that matched the others I had on my car!!! The negative is that the guy who installed the tires was training and knew Jack about his new career. First he didn't know how to jack the car up, then he cracked my hub cap trying to pry it off with a crow bar (my hub cabs are screwed on)and then he under inflated my tires my 23 pounds of air. I asked him to check the pressure of the tires but he didn't have time. His Uncle/employer asked me did I want to tip Mr. Dilweed for his job, I almost cussed at that sucka. But I tipped him.....I told him that its never to late to get that G-E-D!! O.k. I didn't really say that, but eye was thinking it.
I thought I was going to eat lunch at some place called the Elbow or Knee Cap lounge but plans got changed and was able to find another person to have lunch with. (Thanks for being available). We went to Cracker Barrel and of course had bad customer service. I actually expect it now-lol! I love breakfast anytime, so I asked for the pancakes, crisp bacon and scrambled eggs with "NO" yolk. The waitress asked if that meant some yolk. I again said "NO" yolk!! Ya know --like the Boston Celtics with(((( NO RONDO!!!!)))) So she then asked me did I just want whites only scrambled. I just looked at her and said that would be fine. She went on to tell me how fortunate I was to order when I did because a bus load of people just pulled up. I guess that meant I wasn't gonna get full attention. Yelp that's what happened. I didn't see that lady again until I asked for my check and a to go box. I couldn't get a drink refill or needed utensils. Its no biggie because I gave a good tip too.... Nothing! I know some people are gonna say that waitresses depend on tips for a living and I say take that up with your employer because you the idiot working for $2.85/hour....but that's another blog.
I think at the end of the day, I expect and really appreciate good customer service from places where I am spending my money. In this economy, money is tight, so if you want what I got, then you might wonnna come correct pa-pi! Of course I am aware that as imperfect humans we tend to want people to think and act as if we would, but that isn't always a fair assessment. We are, in fact, products of our backgrounds and personal perspectives-right? I think cause and effect would best describe this view point! To be fair, I am sure their are those negative customers (even me at times) who frequent establishments that make the job challenging but as the customer service person, isn't it your job to be the one to suck up the pain and allow both our experiences to be better-------Nahhh that sounds like what people who appreciate a job do-lol!
Any-who, I choose not to allow my distaste for anti-professionalism to dictate my quest for a good time out! I still got my tires, I had a healthy meal with good company so overall, today was not that bad.....
I am Ward.....
